Impact evaluation and analysis at a river basin scale under projected climate and land-use change

Abstract This study evaluated the individual as well integrated impacts of climate and land use change on streamflow over Meenachil River Basin, Kerala, India. The hydrological model SWAT was used to simulate future simulations under representative concentration pathway (RCP) 4.5 8.5 scenarios for medium term (2025–2055) long (2056–2086). cover projected using modeler (LCM) TerrSet software period. Climate were taken predict at regional scale, an attempt made reduce uncertainty associated with predictions. According findings, influenced by (68.07%) (31.92%), having a higher contribution rate. findings suggest that combined impact would increase in future. annual average is expected decline (5.9%) RCP scenario rise 5.3% reference observed period 1987–2017. However, term, it 10.56% 22.61% 8.5.
